PROGRAM DESCRIPTION
The BSEd program is a four-year course leading to the degree of Bachelor in Secondary Education, major in English. It is an excellent preparation for the teaching career and for advancement in any field in which communication skills are important.
Course offered for the major emphasize research skills, critical thinking, and problem solving skills as essential parts of training for teachers in secondary schools.

PROGRAM OBJECTIVES

Acquire basic and higher level literacy, communication, necessary critical thinking, learning skills needed for higher learning.

Develop a meaningful and comprehensive knowledge of the subject matter they will teach.

Apply a wide range of teaching process skills (including curriculum development, lesson planning, materials development, educational assessment, and teaching approaches).

Gain direct experience in the field/classroom (classroom observations, teaching assistance, practice teaching).

Demonstrate and practice the professional and ethical requirements of the teaching professional.
